The Outside World
The Outside World is everything beyond the City: a scorch-baked wasteland under the rule of Hezekiah's Undead, where the Marked live as their masters allow.
Beyond the City
Leaving the Undead's rule is dangerous. Deserters are executed, and Undead Patrols of more than a hundred ghouls roam the wilderness, hunting Marked Ones who try to escape. Ghouls can even sniff out a Marked One's trail.
The City's own leaders travel there only under heavy guard: Lord Wrazen borrows most of a Swordmaster division to escort him back from the Outside World.
